Brittany Henderson, MD, ECNU is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, with advanced training in thyroid disorders, including Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Graves Disease, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she graduated near the top of her class at Northeastern Ohio Medical University, where she received the honor of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). She completed her endocrinology fellowship training under a National Institutes of Health (NIH) research-training grant at Duke University Medical Center. She then served as Medical Director for the Thyroid and Endocrine Tumor Board at Duke University Medical Center and as Clinical Director for the Thyroid and Endocrine Neoplasia Clinic at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She has received multiple prestigious grants from the American Thyroid Association (ATA) and ThyCa (Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc.). Her work has been featured on the cover of Thyroid and in many other scientific journals including Endocrinology, Gut, and Oncotarget. She desires to improve quality of life for those living with thyroid disease both through novel research and medical guidance. For patients living with Hashimoto’s disease, she believes that knowledge is power.
Her clinical practice is dedicated to patients with thyroid disease. She specializes in autoimmune thyroid disease, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, ethanol ablation, and advanced minimally invasive techniques. In addition to using a mainstream medical approach, Dr. Henderson also uses complementary medicine to explore underlying root causes of thyroid disease.

Dr. Erin Stavrakas, DNP, FNP-C
Erin was born and raised in Savannah, GA. She graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Health Promotion & Education and then completed her nursing degree at MUSC. During that time, she has worked as an oncology and infusion nurse caring for patients with various types of cancer and health conditions. Erin then completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Arkansas. She has lived in Charleston since 2015 with her husband, Ryan, and her Boykin Spaniel, Brooks. She is passionate about giving quality care, forming relationships with patients, and is dedicated to helping others feel their best. In her free time, Erin enjoys being outside, exercising, watching Clemson football, and spending time with family and friends.
Olivia Blair, PA-C
Olivia was born in New Jersey and raised in Columbia, SC. She attended the University of South Carolina Honors College where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and a minor in Spanish. During her schooling, Olivia spent three years gaining medical experience in women's health and graduated from Rutgers University with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She then returned home to South Carolina and loves living in Charleston and being a part of the CTC team. Olivia is enthusiastic, dedicated, and has a true passion for patient-centered care. Outside the office, Olivia enjoys traveling, spending time with family & friends, cooking new things, and relaxing on the beach!
Melissa Heaps, NP-C
Melissa was born and raised in small town Street, Maryland, and graduated from Stevenson University with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Melissa and her husband relocated to Charleston where she worked as a registered nurse in acute cardiovascular care, heart & lung transplants, and vascular surgery while working on her Nurse Practitioner degree at South University. Before joining our team, she practiced as a internal medicine Nurse Practitioner, treating an array of chronic conditions including thyroid disease, diabetes, hormone inbalances, and obesity. Melissa is full of energy, motivated, and is a strong advocate for optimizing patient care. When Melissa is not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband, going to the beach, running & yoga, and trying out different restaurants in Charleston.
Meredith Osborne, PA-C
Meredith grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Georgia and graduated magna cum laude with high honors in the Honors Program. Meredith then moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University where she earned a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation, she stayed in Chicago and worked as a surgical orthopedic PA. In 2023, she moved to Mount Pleasant with her husband, Nick, and their Wheaten Terrier, Wesley. As a compassionate provider, Meredith believes in treating all patients with respect and empowering them in their healthcare journeys. In her free time, Meredith loves learning new sports, most recently golf and tennis. She also enjoys boating, attending concerts, and traveling. She rarely misses a chance to cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs!
Jaime Ginney, PA-C
Originally from Northern Kentucky, Jaime graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s in Biology. She then earned both a Bachelor in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Public Health at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she received the Dean’s Award as Valedictorian of her graduating class. She is a highly experienced Physician Assistant with a passion for improving patient health through both clinical expertise and compassionate care. With over 20 years of experience, she spent the first five years of her career working with cardiology groups in Fort Myers and Orlando, Florida, caring for acute cardiac patients with complex disease states. she then returned to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she joined another cardiac practice, providing both inpatient and outpatient care. Jaime is committed to a holistic approach to patient care, taking time to understand each patient’s individual needs and focusing on preventive health to help them lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. She is dedicated to education in the medical field and has mentored numerous medical students and serves as a lecturer at Charleston Southern University’s PA program. She has also been a speaker for pharmaceutical companies and the American Heart Association, where she educated fellow clinicians and patients on the importance of preventative care. A strong believer in giving back to her community, Jaime’s philanthropic efforts continue to be made a priority. She participated in a mission trip to Santiago, Dominican Republic, where she assisted in open heart surgeries for patients with rheumatic heart disease and continues to volunteer at a local free medical clinic providing primary care for underserved populations. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Sean, and their three children, Jack, Ava Kate, and Isla. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing tennis, practicing yoga, and relaxing on the beach.

Barb is our office manager and works remotely from her office in Columbia, SC. She also runs the MyThyroidDoctor telehealth practice. She was raised in North Myrtle Beach, SC, and is an alumna of Coastal Carolina University where she received her Masters of Business Administration and healthcare administration certificate. When she's not working, you can find her watching movies, attending concerts, and hiking to waterfalls.
Sydel
Sydel is in charge of our front desk. She hails from Montclair, New Jersey, is a recent transplant to Mount Pleasant, and is an alumnus of Florida A&M University. When she's not in the office, she enjoys international travel with repeat visits to her favorite city of Paris, and also enjoys experimenting with cooking new cuisine for her twin sister and family.

Hannah grew up in Greenville, SC, and graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences and a minor in psychology. During her gap year, she is applying to physician assistant school. Outside of the office, you can find her working out, relaxing at the beach, or spending time with her friends and family. She loves living near the beach, going to different restaurants, and shopping on King Street!

Gillian grew up in Ocean, New Jersey, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience. During her gap year, she is applying to medical school.
